Whenever I get a minute to spare, I love to just kick back with the remote. Vino in hand. It’s always fun to make note of the design and aesthetic in your everyday television show. I encourage you to pay attention to this next time you’re watching your favorite drama.
One show that did this so well is The Flight Attendant starring Kaley Cuoco (Big Bang Theory). If you’re a crime junkie, you can’t miss out on this one. A murder takes place in her stylish Bangkok hotel room. Everything from the lighting and furnishings to the materials and finishes are dark, moody and contemporary. It couldn’t fit better with the storyline. I now wish every hotel room I stayed in looked like that. I mean, check out that chair!
Another show I really enjoy is Million Dollar Listing: New York. If you know me well, you know that New York City is one of my favorite places to visit and because of this, I love living vicariously though all the crazies on this show. They’re comical and have an appreciation for good feng shui. If you haven’t seen the show, I encourage you to give at least one episode a try. The eclectic townhouses and condos are incredible.
I could go on and on about other shows that I’ve binged lately and provide inspiration but these are two of my favorites. Now, go grab yourself a glass of wine and enjoy an episode or two!
Cheers,
Liz
